Site Update

Hi Internet!

It's safe to say that it has been a flipping loooooooong time since I've updated this site. The reason being is I am super busy getting used to the new post-secondary program I just started. Awesome thing is, this program is all about websites and digital art, so just by doing my homework I'll have cool stuff to post. But, for other stuff I'm doing, I've got a bunch of artist alley tables over the Christmas season so I'm getting stock ready for that. This stock includes knitted hats, stuffies, pillows, cocktail dresses, and several wicked fanart pieces. As each of these are finished I will (eventually) post them on the site. I'm also working on an epic Loki cosplay and making several pages for this site. Right now there are pages, but they're going to look a lot more awesome once they are out of the editing phase. And I learn more about HTML and CSS. So, in the mean time, here is a picture of my signature and one of my favorite toques:

I'm also working on my Halloween costume, aka fixing up my old Bulma costume and then asking random drunk people for dragonballs :)

V-Log Update

So I'm changing the schedule for the v-log yet again. In light of The Walking Dead premiere on Sunday, I felt it best to tape the v-log right after watching all the big shows and then release it the following Monday. In reality it's only a day later, but I feel like I've missed a whole week by doing this. On another note, I still have yet to finish watching the last few episodes of Chuck and Merlin, but I plan to before Sunday night. And then The Walking Dead! Can't wait, only 28 hours to go!

Weekly TV Recap Update

I've been looking into when the best time to do the V-Log is and I've surmised that it should be done on Saturdays because, well, there's no good TV on Saturdays. While I already knew that, I was thinking about doing it on Mondays so that I could talk about all of the big releases on Sundays. But, then I got to thinking, there are more releases on Sundays than there is time in the day to watch them all. So this week's V-Log is postponed until Saturday. All subsequent V-Logs will come out on Saturdays as well.

In the mean time, my thoughts on how 'The Vampire Diaries' is progressing:

What I love about 'The Vampire Diaries' is that stuff is happening throughout the whole episode that makes you want to watch it until the end. Someone tells someone a secret, someone doublecrosses someone else, there's huge tension being built for the scary or heartpounding scenes (eg. Stephan threatening to kill Elena by driving her off a bridge), etc. This episode was no different. The whole thing was full of twist and turns, trying to see how Klaus would outsmart Stephan, because he always does. Eventually. And in the end, it's Elena who has to not only save herself but also Stephan. It's interesting to see how the show's writers continually make an Elena-centric story work. The writers have done a great job of taking something that could just be another 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' or, on the other end of the spectrum, 'Twilight', and making it something interesting to watch, especially amidst all of the other vampire shows that exist. This last episode had a very satisfying third act, both in the progression of the act and the final outcome. I won't spoil it, I'll leave that for the V-Log, but for all of us Damon fans, it just made us love him all the more.
